The fish are spawning and are on an array of patterns including deep water stumps at Three Prong, Saddle Bags and Oil Well, flooded grass behind the islands and on hard-bottomed flats. Best fishing we found was in flooded emergent flat-bladed grass in 18 inches of water and less and they could be found by following the sweet, watermelon-like scent of spawning fish.
