Football officials set first meeting Aug 14, 2009
The Southwestern Oregon Football Officials Association will hold its annual rules clinic to go over rule revisions and other points of emphasis on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Pirate Hall. Football coaches and athletic directors are invited to attend the meeting, which should take about 90 minutes and will be followed by a social hosted by the association. Friday afternoon's two and a half hour practice marked the beginning of the Oregon football team's preparation for the 2009-10 season and their first game September 3 against Boise State. Dior Mathis and Father To Visit Eugene Friday Aug 7, 2009
Fans following on the 2010 recruiting trail received some encouraging news Thursday afternoon as the father of Detroit (MI) Cass Tech cornerback, , confirmed that he and his son plan on visiting Eugene on Friday; first day of fall camp for the Oregon football team. According to Mathis' father, he and his son will arrive in Eugene sometime Friday afternoon and tour the campus and facilities and likely have an opportunity to check out the Ducks' first practice of the fall.
