Leonard: Behind Mangini's Brown Reference Nov 15, 2009
For additional comparison, Hall of Fame RB Leroy Kelly reached paydirt only four more times while rushing for 7,274 yards as a Brown, second in club annals only to Jim Browns 12,312 (106 TDs). It goes without saying Ward has had things much easier than did Collins, since numerous rules have been altered to favor receivers in the passing game and the ball is thrown much more frequently than it was during Collins day. My history with the Browns began in the late 1960s with childhood hero, Leroy Kelly. As Kelly retired, people whose names I will both recall and forget have come and gone, some leaving their mark, others leaving a trail of bitterness. (BerniesInsiders.com)
MICHAEL WEBER: Football teams on the move Aug 17, 2009
In the late 1970s, I chose Philadelphia as my NFC team, mainly because I liked Wilbert Montgomery, a running back who reminded me a lot of Cleveland Hall of Fame back Leroy Kelly. The Eagles have provided me more joy than the Browns have over the years, but no Super Bowl wins. (Bismarck Tribune, ND)

Among them are Ernie Green, acomplementary back to two Hall of Famers in Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly and the teams No. 7 career rusher, Monte Clark, a fixture at right tackle for six seasons, and Milt Morin, a pretty fair tight end in his own right before someone named Ozzie Newsome came along. Morin has 271 receptions, which puts him just five short of cracking the clubs top 10 career list. (BerniesInsiders.com)

" I'm really starting to pity you now. Actually, the top receiver of all-time is Jerry Rice (22,895 yards), who went to Mississippi Valley State (emphasis on Valley State), which of course is not in the Southeastern Conference. Those are all well and good but the bottom line is scoring. And the #1 field goal kicker of all-time is....(drum roll)...Jan Stenerud (373 career field goals) of Montana State, another former conference mate of Boise State in the Big Sky Conference. So schools that are... (BroncoCountry.com)
