DES MOINES -- Teams from central and western Iowa captured all four state championships on Saturday as the 2009 Iowa State Baseball Tournament wrapped up at Principal Park in Des Moines. This year's state title winners include: top-ranked and top-seeded Mason City Newman in Class 1-A; No. 2-ranked and fourth-seeded Fort Dodge St. Edmond in 2-A; No. 6-ranked and fourth-seeded Norwalk in 3-A; and top-ranked and top-seeded Sioux City North in 4-A.. Around 500 people crowded into the bleachers of the North High School Gymnasium to celebrate the North Stars first-ever Class 4A Iowa State Baseball Tournament championship.
