    Teijin Nanotechnology Enables World's First Nanofiber Golf Gloves  Nov 12, 2009
    Tokyo, Nov 5, 2009 (JCN) - Teijin Fibers Limited announced today that it has begun to supply the high-strength polyester nanofiber NANOFRONT for use in the palms of golf gloves manufactured and marketed by Acushnet Japan Inc. under the FootJoy brand. Called NANOLOCK, the new product is the world's first golf glove to use nanofiber material, and will be available in Japan from November. (JCN Network, Japan)

    The deal with the PGA Tour started last year when FootJoy, a Massachusetts-based maker of golf shoes and accessories, invited eSoles to join it in fitting pro golfers, said Glen Hinshaw, chief executive officer of eSoles.     FootJoy to shutter last shoe factory in Brockton  Feb 28, 2009
    FootJoy's other shoe manufacturing plant is in China ... Golf shoe company FootJoy is planning over the next six weeks to shutter its manufacturing plant in Brockton, the last remaining footwear factory in a city that was once known as the "Shoe Capital of the World." ... The shoes produced at the Brockton plant, which represented about 2 percent of its annual shoe sales, will be discontinued when stock is depleted, according to FootJoy, a division of Acushnet Co. based in Fairhaven.
