Baseball announces 2010 schedule Nov 7, 2009
The Charlotte 49ers will face four teams that made the NCAA Tournament, including a pair of NCAA Super Regional participants and one team that advanced to the College World Series last season on the 2010 Charlotte baseball schedule, announced today. Charlotte will play 23 of its first 28 games in the friendly confines of Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium, which opened on March 30, 2007. (Charlotte Sports -- Rivals.com)
Former Deac Achilles Added to Wake Forest Baseball Staff Sep 10, 2009
Before his tenure at Western Carolina, Achilles spent a season with the Charlotte baseball program, working with the 49er catchers, assisting with the defense and hitters and also serving as the first base coach. Achilles worked with all-Atlantic 10 catcher Kris Rochelle, who was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers. (Wakeforestsports.com)
